Moon Ear Piercings: Crescent Moons for Helix, Daith, and Tragus
In your helix piercing, Moon Ear Piercings look absolutely stunning paired with tiny stars.
A Moon Ear Piercings brings a delicate crescent or a sparkling half-moon to your ear – we offer around 60 models to choose from. Our top sellers include labret studs with a zirconia moon, flat internally threaded titanium moons, industrial barbells with a moon and star, and clicker rings with a double moon face. Additionally, you'll find moons with small dangles, straight barbells, and flat moons in a beautiful gold finish. Perfect for decorating your helix, daith, tragus, or earlobe.
Moon Ear Piercings at PiercingXXL: our selection
Discover our collection of over 50 moon ear piercings at PiercingXXL, featuring designs in silver, gold, rose gold, and black, with some models crafted from titanium. You can choose pieces adorned with zirconia or crystal stones, available in crystal or rainbow AB colors. Select your style from flat back labrets with internal threads, push-in threadless options, hinged clicker rings, bendable rings, or designs with a movable pendant.
Shapes, Materials, and Combinations
Internally threaded labret studs are the most common shape: the moon sits at the front, while the flat disc rests comfortably against the back of the cartilage. In a Helix Piercing, a moon looks stunning paired with tiny stars, whereas a single crescent is usually enough for the tragus. For a Daith Piercing, we offer clicker rings where the curve itself forms a crescent moon. You can discover more shapes in our Ear Piercing overview.
ASTM F136 titanium and 316L surgical steel are highly biocompatible, while our brass models are great fashion jewelry for fully healed piercings. A select few moons are also available in a beautiful gold-colored finish.
Our Practical Advice
Place the moon at the end of a row, for example as the top stud in your helix, to beautifully finish the line along your ear. Stick to titanium for fresh piercings; brass moons should only be worn after the healing process is complete.
Frequently Asked Questions About Moon Ear Piercingsss
Which moon fits a daith piercing?
A ring belongs in the daith because the piercing channel goes through the innermost cartilage fold. A moon clicker can be opened easily and inserted without any tools.
Is the moon also available for a tragus piercing?
Yes, for the tragus, you should choose a short labret with a small moon, either flat or with zirconia. This way, the jewelry sits flush and won't bother you when using the phone.
Is a solid gold moon worth it?
High-quality gold-colored jewelry is highly tarnish-resistant and perfect for sensitive skin. The excellent finish is especially worth it if you plan to wear the moon permanently in the same piercing.
How your ear piercing heals
Clean twice a day with sterile saline solution and only touch with clean hands.
Do not change the initial jewelry and do not sleep on the pierced side.
An earlobe is usually healed after six to twelve weeks. Cartilage like a helix or tragus takes six to twelve months.
Once everything is calm, you can insert new jewelry – in the same gauge as before.
These times are guidelines; every healing process is different. In case of severe pain, swelling, or pus, please consult your piercing studio or a doctor.
